San Diego Superbloom Lilacs & Engagement Photos
If you were around Southern California in the first few months of 2024 you know we had A LOT of rain at that time. With all that down fall came the insanely gorgeous flowers the months following the rain. The mustard yellow wild flower field was a very popular spot down in Chula Vista and also a little spot in San Marcos, California in North County San Diego has a huge bloom of the purple lilacs.
At Home Newborn Lifestyle Photoshoot
For the longest time whenever someone mentioned newborn photos I always pictured the photos of the tiny newborns wrapped in decorative wraps and put into toy sized cribs or set on bookshelves. While those are absolutely adorable, I had no interest in diving into that side of photography only because with babies that tiny and me with no experience in wrapping them, it scared me.
Coronado Beach Maternity Photoshoot
Do you remember the beach/football scene in Top Gun Maverick? That scene was actually filmed on Breakers Beach on Coronado. Coronado is a small beach town right across the San Diego Bay from downtown San Diego and is also a home to a US Naval base. I love to take my clients there for photoshoots. The Del Hotel is a popular spot on the beach that is also covered with beautiful sand dunes. Breakers Beach, I believe, is only accessible to military and their families. But just south is Coronado beach and it is just as beautiful.
Balboa Park Photoshoot
Balboa Park is located in the heart of San Diego. It is a historical location that is a hub for museums, theaters, restaurants, and the San Diego Zoo. It is also a great spot for engagement photoshoots and weddings. I have been there countless times for various photoshoots and a couple weddings. It really is a fantastic spot that has a variety of backgrounds and options for portraits.
